Sample Extraction: Samples are extracted in a buffered Tris-Glycine solution. HAVen also produces this solution stabilised & ready-to-use in an Allergen Extraction kit, which saves both time and money; the inclusion of yellow dye in pre-filled extraction tubes helps confirm that samples have been diluted prior to testing.
Assay Reagents: The five Standards provided in each kit are colour coded and contain increasing amounts of red dye as a pipetting aid. Microwells are presented in break-apart strips, allowing flexibility as to assay size. The enzyme reagent contains green dye as a pipetting aid. Two breadcrumb Controls are provided, Low Level (>0<3mg/kg Lupin flour) and Positive (>5<15mg/kg Lupin). The TMB Substrate used in the kit is particularly active and stable. Plates can be read for at least an hour after being stopped with low molarity acid. The kits contain no harmful preservatives such as azides or mercury compounds.
Assay Range: 1mg/kg (PPM) to 16mg/kg Lupin flour (or higher).

Limit Of Detection* (LOD): LESS THAN 0.25mg/kg Lupin flour.
